There was someone that spun this for us a few months ago. He was touting this as the latest & greatest. But I think it was his attitude of 'we are idiots' if we don't get on board that turned me off.

I watched a not-so-short real estate video online, prepared by a twenty-something agent in the midwest that was supposed to be the best and most trendy example of snapchat for real estate that there is.

The video quality was jittery and grainy and the presentation depicted one property for ten minutes, which would have lost the attention of any consumer at the one-minute mark. It's getting a lot of hype, but I haven't been impressed so far.

No, it seems that the short live span of the message would be non productive.

Look up the demographics for Snapshat.  If you think that group is going to buy homes, let me know

NO. I've heard of it and do believe it is catering to the 30 something generation. Not sure it would be a place to generate business but rather another place to suck up time and distract from what I need to focus on. 

Nope, have a hard enough time keeping up with just the main social media sites let alone adding another...

I can't possibly use one more site for anything.... 

I don't use SnapChat at all...yet.   

My daughter uses it, but after her description of the short-life it has online before it is auto deleted, I can't imagine its use in real estate. It would be interesting for someone who uses it successfully for real estate to tell us how to and the benefits.

Nope.  Nor do I intend to.

Who's your target?  Are you looking for listings?  My target is older and more established (and wealthier).  Very few of those on snapchat own homes...so therefore, few potential sellers.  Seems like a lot of work to get those buyers.  Low return on time IMO.

I have heard mixed reviews about the value of using it. Maybe good for some, not others. But then that's true of many things

My kids asked me to do it and I lasted all of 2 days.  I'm good and my business certainly doesn't need it.  I'd rather focus on getting more referrals from my sphere.  

If your market is teenagers, your in. But to reach their parents, not sure if its going to work.

I have heard this is the most upcoming social media, but mostly for those 14-19.    Thinking this isn't the target market I was hoping for.

In my opinion it's for younger kids. No one buying a house in my market!

I have no idea if it generates leads. At some point we have only so much time to do social media. Never sure if things like snapchat aren't but a flash in the pan.

I was in a class last week and a few agents said they communicate with their clients and friends through SnapChat and they like it.
