Heard of it, haven't seen it. Just guest houses or separate sections of the main home.

There is a lot of discussion about this type of housing. As far as I know, nothing has been decided. Zoning issues.

Just read an article on these this week, suggested it to my mom, and she was not interested in moving.

No I have not been in one, and no I have never heard of a 'Granny Pod'!! Apparently it is one way to care for aging parents on one's property, if I understand it correctly? I do not know about current zoning for that particular type of building, though do know, that some homes here have casitas, which could be used for grandparents or teenagers Buzz Mackintosh.

I hadn't that specific term before this question. I suspect there are zoning restrictions in many areas.

not unless one used the same foundation for a footprint....I don't know anyone who would live in a home that small.....

It's a new term to me. Most HOA's would not allow it in our area.

Buzz Mackintosh Never called it a Granny Pod. If it's on wheels it would not be allowed here.

Yes I have heard & know they are acceptable but have not gotten inside one.
There was also a tiny house that you could build from 84 Lumber in our area that is 98 sq feet. Comes with wheels & a trailer if you want. You build it or have them build it.
