I don't feel like I'm ever off as I'm still checking email, even if I'm not working.

It's typically parts of days.

I do, since time with my family is the most important to me. It is usually Saturdays.
What's a day off?
Nop. 24/7. When the phone rang it is time to take care of the re business.
San Jose, CA
yes Sat & Sun no question.
It depends on a work flow. Today was nice and relaxing, and we have loved every minute. A
What is a day off; it never happens!
I try to spend my Sundays relaxing though that doesn't mean not working. I usually spend a bit of time planning for Monday morning and the week upcoming so I can hit the ground running first thing after my weekly conference call. Preparation usually gives me peace of mind to get a good night's rest.

Kara Pagliarulo Yes, weekends.
I try to take Sundays off and am usually able to manage that 50% of the time.
Usually, I work weekends less than during the week, but I'm never really off, even on my vacations.
Cape Coral, FL
I TRY and take Sundays, but this weekend have a relocation family in Sat., Sun & Monday, so maybe tomorrow may be the day for my personal items to be addressed.
I try for a day of rest on Sunday.
That is wishful thinking for most real estate agents.
Never have, but probably should!
The majority of my business is investor related. So for the most part I am off Sat and Sun.
No, not really. I take whatever day I have and typically that is Sunday. – M
Good morning Kara. In my mortgage practice, it is on the weekend, but my photo is on most of the time.
Kara Pagliarulo I wish I had that good habit....though once in a week, I try to stay away from work.
A day or two???
When I went to work at Disneyland, way back there, they told us “we work when everyone else wants to play.” It was true then and it is true in real estate.
It is hard to get large breaks of time off.
Sundays, with rare exceptions (out of town Buyers).
Wednesdays for me. But I just started setting hours for myself. This business can take over our lives if we don't set some rules. I'm still available by phone / email..just not working.
Day off? what's that?
No. If I'm awake, I work. I've gotten several clients by being reachable. If I took Sunday off, I'd have missed a $1million sale and a $800,000 listing FROM ONE CALL!!
I try for a half day Sunday and Monday.
I want to take a day off, but it seldom happens.. I just usually get up and go to work. It is just habit. I almost feel guilty when I take a day off. I need to work on this.
Kara Pagliarulo Realistically Residental real estate has demands unlike other fields and it is up to each person to figure out what works best for them in business and personal world. As human beings we need time off for ourselves and our families
No, take it as it comes.
lol Is this a serious question? If so, no I do not take a dedicated day off each week.
Not a specific day but often a chunk of time on the weekend is family time
It used to be Wednesdays & then the market changed so I dropped the 'out of sight' day.
Only up until 2pm on Sat & Sun.
I am off every day until I am on....
That's just a theory in real estate. LOL
I do. However, it never materializes.
i work 7 days..however i try to play hookey a couple hours at a time on a wed or a thur
