Not really... they are the client and can dress any way they want. I will always be dressed professionally.

We are in a rural, laid back, lake, country, well; easy going area here at Smith Mountain Lake so you get cowboy boots and flip flops, shorts and dresses, coveralls and yes; even three piece suits. Can't judge a book by it's cover, so we welcome them all. Yee haaaaa !

Not at all. I work in a very upscale side of town so usually the buyers dress well.

I don't care how they choose to dress but I do care how they smell. I don't do stink well.

Nope. So long as they're dressed and won't get the cops called on them for public indecency or getting confused with being a prosi, I'm good. I dress professionally.

Good morning Paul. Over the years, I have seen some very strange dress, but that is their thing.

I think it depends upon the client and the location. Rural areas tend to dress down where as higher-end properties the clients dress up. - M

Not really. High heels are unwelcome in most homes here but we usually remove shoes before entering anyway.

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington - usually it should not matter much - however, I have seen them 'dressed to occassion'...lol!

part of me says no, however we all make judgements of others. if it came down to little things to sell a house, or buy a house, sometimes..... decisions can be made on little things... so sometimes, it all adds up.. and for the record you can overdress as well :)

Yes. I've turned away million dollar buyers because their wardrobe wasn't up to par. What a buyer wears to a showing is key to my success.

Paul,
I’m with the majority. I have never had a problem with how the buyer dressed.
6,393,404
1,771,867
No I have had buyers in ripped up shorts, even a client who came to a closing wearing sweat pants.
2,224,473
I've never had anyone dress in an outlandish way. I guess I'm with whatever the buyer chooses to wear. I'm all about them and me feeling comfortable.
400,356
It doesn't matter to me in the least how my clients dress for touring homes.
1,076,551
I wouldn't. As long as they're dressed, that would be good enough for me.
5,216,398
There was one time where I had to advise a customer their dress was inappropriate!
3,986,258
5,049,158
No, that's their choice. Hopefully however they dress is comfortable espeically on a busy day of showings

Paul,
We can only be in charge of ourselves... if you were showing Hugh Heffner a home, he would be in his pajamas. Knowing he can afford a high end home, would you really care? LOL A

No. Our clients are conservative and casual, since they are mainly Seniors, and many are on vacation, Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington.

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington I don't think it makes any difference what I care how buyer clients dress. I always dress appropriately.
43,981
Nope. That really doesn't matter to me. I also inform my clients to go casual when we are walking dirt lots or enter subdivisions with unpaved roads.
3,071,489

Comfort is the key so clients can comfortably focus on the task at hand.
921,504
Yes, I do care.
Looking like a billion dollars or like you just awoke from skid row does effect those you will meet. The full service listing agent at the houses you show WILL take note and respond appropriately.
Meanwhile the agent of the skid row buyer has lost 'currency' in the eyes of those with whom they must work in the future.
Has the way a buyer client dressed compelled me to do anything? NO! They tend to possess a reasonable self-awareness if they can afford a house in my area.
PS: Dear buyer, there are way too many cameras watching everything you do. Thinking you can dress anyway you please can have a life long affect.
5,583,278
as long as they're not covered in dirt from gardening, it doesn't matter how they dress....
