I've notice this about many agents.  You have to be an investigator to figure out what their market area is.  

My service has no geographic borders, so I make a point not to promote an area.

Michael - not only do you have to scroll down, but sometimes it's not there at all!  I wrote a featured post about this a while back and have been thinking I should repost it.

Everyone should have their location on their blog post right under their photo.  People get confused because the info is on their bio page - but it doesn't automatically transfer over to the blog page.  Everybody should be checking this - if someone lands on your blog, they won't know where you're from!

Yes, google picks up on it. You have to be careful though that you don't add so much nonsense that people can't tell where you are from.

Michael, I think I've done it in every way possible to associate where we work with our AR comments and posts.  We even include a map of our service area in the our signature block to make it as apparent as possible that we serve the Cincinnati/Dayton corridor.

Absolutely !   I am proud of Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia.   Not only that but it is part of the bank required disclaimer at the bottom of every posting I do.

yes ... We have many who do not even have a name. Just Utah state.....

Many bloggers do not have an address or location in their blog signature. It makes you wonder.

It is amazing how many write posts, with only the City, and have NO IDEA where they are from.

Yes I do! Location, along with: pictures, logos, phone, web links, social links, brokerage information, and an info snippet (which will change to be suitable for generic-public-viewing once I have a rainmaker account). 

I service most of Eastern PA.  With my niche, it is hard to service a small area.

I do wonder why some people want to be so secretive about their location!

Yes I have where I work and that I sell real estate too. I too have noticed some don't have their business identified or their area. That is puzzling.

I have a detailed blog signature that includes my location and contact info.

I fairly recently put it in my name field at the suggestion of another AR member.  I try not to limit myself to one area, but I do have my closest area to me (the one I live in) in my name field.

Emails with the social media links and all the contacts are crucial. Otherwise why both putting the effort into your marketing if you make it a mystery which market and how to track you down? Buyers, sellers don't have time for being teased, delayed.

What is even more important to me is company affiliation notice. SO many and usually from the same company seem to intentionally avoid this simple act of courtesy. No open notice, no blog comments!

Michael, I agree with you - often there is no reference anywhere on an obvious page to any geography. I even thought of suggesting to make it mandatory as part of one's signature, somewhere.

Yes, I do. It's very clear from the name of my blog where I am, as well. Drives me nuts when I can't easily place somebody.
