Yes and I colour the grass purple and the sky green! Life is too short to be contained in someone elses box

Being in real estate I'd say makes my risk taking quotient a 10.... ;)

Where there are risk there are rewards; however in my business I am not a risk taker.

I do not equate risk to coloring outside the line.
Risk, in my observation is when you choose the coloring book that has no lines. There the outcome is not so preditable. Today that means having the courage to kick the NAR color book to the curb.
Me, I always stay a healthy distance from the line.

Never was one who could keep it inside the lines, so might have to be in the 9 range!

It depends, in business most often it is safe, steady and doing it top notch.

Peter - It depends on the situation, but I have been known to be a risk taker sometimes. Other times I stay entirely within the lines.

What lines?
I do my best to take plenty of calculated risks. Nothing worthwhile happens withouout risk.

I'm probably a good solid 5 as far as real estate and life in general. As far as creativity, I've been described as not even knowing there is a box!

In my coloring book there are very few lines, Peter. As for risks I don't risk my ethics personally or in business. But most of life is full of risks every day and I have no problem with that.

I color on the other person's page! I'm a renegade/maverick like that!
Risk: it depends on the reward and the particular type of risk. What is the potential upside? What is the potential downside? What is the risk to me personally, financially and business wise? What mitigating factors can be put into play to reduce risk?
Only after evaluating each risk, can I come up with a risk number. After that, it's up to me to decide if that is acceptable or not. I did a lot of risk management work in my old job, so that philiosophy stuck around.

I color outside the lines. If I think the rule is stupid, I'll be a high risk taker. If I think the rule is reasonable, I'm a low risk taker. On average, I'm a 6. I push a little bit.

I aim to minimize risk. If risk is taken, e.g. in banking, there needs to be appropriate protection (collateral and/or legal means) and commensurate compensation. In real estate, we shouldn't be taking risks with our clients' money.

I'm probably a 7-8... I takes risks but not without figuring out all the pros and cons before I jump in. Just getting into this business, not once but twice, was a major risk.
