I got shot down once on one of my first featured blogs.... I was devastated. Now I realize those people do it all the time to everyone and not just me. If they are that angry, they probably aren't successful.

That is a interesting point. I hear it all the time at the ambitious bunch at the water cooler...

Oh yeah, put this under the category "no good deed goes unpunished".  People don't usually give credit to those that give them a good idea when it works but won't let them forget it should it fail.

I am not one to need approval for an idea. There is always someone that will disagree. 

Wonder if they are friends or not.  I support otheres with new things.

And people who have great ideas, always intend to make it work.

That is the case in some situations.

Walt Disney was told multiple times his theme park ideas would not work; J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter manuscripts were turned away by most publishers... need I say more?

Sure.  And I could care less as long as they don't try to steal my idea!

Yup, sounds like a few who are 'woe is me' or 'can't do that' with no good alternative.  Any suggestions?

Richie Alan Naggar In many occasions, certain people me criticized my good business ideas, then implemented my ideas.

I've noticed in the corporate world an idea you tell your boss and he/she says "it won't work" will often be an idea the boss "comes up with" the following week and it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Unfortunately many people say "it won't work" because it won't for them however, please keep going because those "it won't work" ideas I had has kept me in real esate for 18 years! Dare to be different, test the waters and if it works for you keep it and if it doesn't, keep thinking of more great ideas :-)

We always ask for the pros and cons on all of our ideas. If our pro column is larger than our con column, then we roll with it.

You're describing 'a punk' for lack of a better term. Every idea is a bad idea unless they thought of it.

OH, long time lesson - if you have a great idea, either don't share it or share only with those who will be supportive. "Go and tell no man" type of thing. People can be black magicians without realizing it.

Most of the good or great ideas I have received have been outside of real estate. I enjoy being in meetings with like minded entrepreneurs who are afraid to fail.

Yes, there are always those that are unhappy and try to make others feel that nothing will work. My youngest son is my favorite go to person. He doesn't sugar coat anything and is honest.  I will share my ideas with him. 

I don't share any ideas with anyone except my husband.  If he doesn't like it, he will come up with an alternative idea.  His alternatives are many times better than my original.
