If I am interested in the product or service, I will read the email.  If you piss me off and send me unsolicited emails, I will mark you as spam.

And that is one thing I disagree with KW.  My integrity stands before lead generation.  I refuse to do any type lead generation that I don't want done to me.  There are too many types of lead gen out there.

Some of that is alright but when it is too regular it becomes more like spam. Remember we are being courted by lenders, home inspectors, suppliers, title companies, websites and agent tools and other agents and our inboxes are only so big. Make it special and we will read it.

It depends on what is sent. One guy I do read (newsletter form) because what he sends is good info. There's another guy who sends stuff & he can't even send a pic right by email so he is technically challenged with computers.

So out of 5 sent or so I only read one.

Maybe if you sent out something like those inspection bloopers or something. Pic of car jacks holding up a foundation & stuff labeled 'wrong way' or epic fail.

Hope that helps you.

I get lots of stuff packed into my mailbox at the office. I go into the office maybe once or twice a month and generally pull the mail out and dump it 30 seconds later into the circular file (you know what I mean). Probably 75% of what hits my email box is an immediate delete.

TeamChi - Complete Home Inspections, Inc. I believe office presentations are good, if the presenter isn't just there to sell something. Often that is not the case. Most of the time newsletters go unread.

I don't mind especially of they are coming from someone I have personally met versus some large company that I've never had contact with.  I may not be reading them all the time but occasionally I will.

Michael - I think most of us have a list of vendors already, so most of the time I would just delete their messages. Some I have saved just in case I may need that type of service in the future.

TeamChi - Complete Home Inspections, Inc. it is a good idea for vendors to connect with us - why not? We can send them clients.

As far as their drip campaign is concerned - I am fine, they are good sometimes. However, if not useful, they are deleted soon.

Michael,

Cranky response here I don’t send out fluff, please don’t send me fluff. If a vendor does the job I will use them so often they won’t need to “drip on me.”

I have always weclomed informative email messages from vendors. However, if the quality of content is missing, I would be quick to unsubscribe. And, when a prospect unsubscribes, you are dead.
