I'll sponsor anything that is relative to the local public school athletic programs.....that's good business....and I've received listings from that...

One thing to consider is obviously the bottom line, how much more money will end up in my pocket at the end. More so for me it is about networking and how my attendence, sponsorship, presentation or anything will reflect/built my brand over the next years.

I take another look at my business purpose statement. Then I ask 'Will my business appearing on the flat-screen at Hooters be in alignment with my purpose?"

Situation #2. "Will my business appearing on the exhibition sponsor list at the Leepa Rattner Museum be in alignment with my purpose?"

Situation #3. "Will attending another title company hosted event about TRID align with my purpose?"

Now, there are those things we do to feed the mind and spirit and exercise the body and things we do to pump up revenue. We need some of them all.

I don't attend events where I can not ask meaningful question or offer useful observations. The bad would include accepting the invitation to attend a juried dog show. Now I was a fish out of water and am so disinterested in the subject matter I could not get out of there quick enough.

Several events I participate in, are to express my passion regarding social conscience and compassion for humanity. If you are passionate about it, DO IT!

Select the local events that will offer the best networking opportunities.

For example, going to a builders association meeting may be more productive than going to a meeting of real estate agents.

We do sponsor a number of charity events based on the charity and networking events based on business.

I sponsor things that are good for my community.  Little league, 4th of July festival, and I do a safe trick or treating community event

I have a event that I hold for new buyers, a house warming party at my expense.

I don't sponsor anything anymore. Pig races were the most fun but the biggest story was with the shopping carts.

I was stupid enough to 'buy' 750 shopping carts at a local grocer with my face on them. People didn't want to buy real estate, they asked me out on a date. THEN .... some people from my office saw me face down in a ditch on the side of the road & LTAO about it. There's Lyn covered in mud .... in the ditch .... top producer.

It really depends on how busy I am when they are going on

I choose those events that either I have an emotional attachment to or ones that will give me a good potential return on investment.

I don't go to any events. My hands are full - office, family and customers.

None.

Each week and month is laid out in the calendar, choices are made as to which conflicting appointments will be chosen.

I believe in marketing and branding, meaning if there is a local event, I try my best to attend.  To me, there is no such thing as a bad event.  As long as you talk with realtors, the potential is always there.  Execution is the key.

Attend: that's for me to enjoy, so I go to things I like.

Participate in: Depends, but usually tied to my volunteer groups.

Sponsor: Something that speaks to me or a friend is involved in.  Looking at sponsoring a fundraiser for canine cancer research this year.

Choose carefully since there are so many requests. Education is high on my list followed by youth sports

Tara Berkoski - from training events - I like to attend all events from Buffini & Company and if I can attend, all KW events, too.

Excellent learning and networking with high-minded and successful real estate professionals.

Sponsoring? Not done yet.

I will support good causes but do have to draw the line on doing too many. I would like to think I will get good exposure and hopefully some business from my efforts.

I sponsor local little league baseball, pop warner football and high school programs. These are a good way to give back to the community and inexpensive ways to promote your brand. They are also 100% tax deductable and I would rather support kids than the government any day.

I love youth events, ive done silent auctions and a gold tourney but always love the local sports teams
