I think it depends on the situation when you are recieving the gifts. For Christmas and birthdays I do not send thank you notes. For graduations, weddings, baby showers, and other special occasions I feel it is good to write a thank you note to whomever gave you a gift. It just shows gratitude. I don't think it would be a bad idea to send Thank You's on Christmas and for birthdays, it's just something I don't do.

A Thank You is always in my heart, on my lips, I wish I could say that it always makes it to paper too, but it doesnt always.

I thank them when I receive it and then call in a few days to say that I used it and loved it.

Good morning Debbie. We write a thank you note on every transaction that we do. We, as a team, feel that it is the right thing to do in a world that doesn't say thank you.

Debbie Reynolds I believe you know my answer....lol!
Personal Notes with a small gift care (Starbucks, Dunkin Donut etc.) is the best way to go!

I do both. It depends on the people involved, the scenario and the gift.

Debbie I received a gift from a client for Christmas. I was/am overwhelmed. Not quite sure how to express my gratitude in the time he had to spend on this item, without it seeming cheesy? etc. Funny you ask the question when I am in the middle of being at a loss. Mark

Write notes the old fashioned way. Shows more appreciation which the younger gen doesn't bother with.

Depends on distance and relationship. I write thank you notes to those I don't see as often, and those I see several times a week, I thank them several times.

It depends. For some it's a written note. For others it's a thank you call.

It depends on who the gift is from. If it is someone other than family, I write a note.

Thank you notes definitely. That was one of Mama's rules growing up and I still do them. I enjoy doing them because it's an opportunity to make somebody's day.

Typically I write thank you cards- but during Christmas season I think a verbal thank you is sufficient.

Guilty of not writing enough thank you notes! A handwritten thank you note is so powerful
