Is this one??!! 

I am very familiar with term Zombie Home as i list and sell a lot of foreclosures. Most often it is a home where the home owner moves out, and the home as yet to be foreclosed or in the foreclosure process. It can stay this way for 1 ,2 and even 3 years, grass growing high, home falling apart and vandals making a mess. The home owner is still technically responsible as the bank has not taken it back, the neighbors suffer. 

I think that Tony and Suzanne Marriott, Associate Brokers found it since there is an actual Zombie standing in front of it. 

Good morning Ray. That would be an opportunity as property to buy as a flip. I really don't care about the condition in the right location.

I'm under the impression that it's a home that has been abandoned by its owners when faced with foreclosure, yet the bank has not yet taken deed to the property.

I dont know Ray, but I am not buying any homes with Zombies in them.

I'd say for me it is when neither the bank nor a home owner is taking care of it and it is starting to show that no one is taking care of it.

I do not have a definition of a Zombie home. Prior to reading this I'd not heard the term.

Any of the "before" houses on Flip or Flop.

we don't really focus on that type of property unless it's a tear-down and one of our builders can build a new home there....

Pre-foreclosure or REO in limbo, ALSO we have 'vacation homes' that the owners never get out to that are neglected.

Not listed & the bank seems to have forgotten about it. There are some neighborhoods where they take forever to unload a foreclosure & who knows why. 2 years vacant is ridiculous!

Also in the city of Chicago, the banks are basically abandoning some houses because upkeep exceeds sales price received. So litterally they do nothing with them & they go into super fast decline.

Never heard that term before

I have never used this word to describe a home but it would fit some of the foreclosures I have seen.

For me it doesn’t have to be vacant and run down. Some houses just have an eerie feel when you walk in.
