I don't.  When I send a newsletter it's hyperlocal and I write it myself, usually using stuff from my ActiveRain blog.

No, I haven't heard of this one.  Most word software has built in newsletter formats.  For a very sophisticated approach you can use Rezora.  It is not cheap by any means and has very attractive features that work for well for one of our brokerage clients.  Another client uses it regularly also.  A

Gotta hand it to good old fashioned American capitalism. Take stuff that is free, re-package it, give it a fancy name, and then sell it to the gullible masses.

Isn't that the Realtor.com one?  I looked at a few when I was reseaching mine.  Theirs was interesting with pre-populated articles, but adding my own stuff wasn't super easy and I couldn't get my listings in there.  I ended up making my own through Mailchimp.  Feel free to check it out at: The Huggins Homes Newsletter - December 2015 - http://eepurl.com/bGY-9T

No experience with HomeActions. Could not find a website for a newsletter of that name either.

However, I do have experience is many formats of newsletters.

It has been my observation that knowing your purpose for sending the newsletter is crucial. Without a defined purpose, the winner will be HomeActions.

Purpose would look like:

List building
90 day market
Website traffic
Brand awareness
SM engagement
Affiliate building
Get listing
Get buyer

There are many more, but this gives you an idea.

Let's use Brand awareness as an example and the one with broadest acceptance and content agility. Creating loyal readership means the newsletter must contain SOMETHING of interest to the reader.

My suggestion is the newsletter should be structured into five sections.

Each section should address one of the top five 'New Years' resolutions that are repeated year after year after year. Do not be concerned so much about original content. You need only be concerned with the quality of the writing and proper use of images and graphics. There are many excellent curating services that can repackage information in an entirely acceptable manner.

If HomeAction does not allow editing to conform to localization and is not multi-topic capable, think hard before giving access to your credit card.
