My grandmother did and received an award to commemorate her 50th year as a licensed broker in her eighties, 10 years beyond the qualifier. She served on many NAR & CAR boards back in the 1950's & 1960's. I was very proud of her; she taught me to love real estate and see the joy in serving good people. I'm a proud third generation Realtor.  

(but I have 22 years to go to qualify myself).

Normally in college it is a prestigious professor title meaning they get more pension.  May be we should demand a pension to join NAR.
