I would have preferred a door with a stained glass type insert in the middle.... I have two of them and they're beautiful.... but they allow privacy along with sunlight....

Well...did they pick any blind or curtains to go with it? hmmm..can't figure that one out..maybe they like lots of natural light. But.. hope they don't have too many awkward moments..as far as privacy is concerned.

I love windows.  Most homeowners will use blinds or cloth covering for privacy.

I don't see an issue with it. You could install cellular blinds, the very thin type for privacy if you need it.

I think they wanted more light.  Usually, though, when you have a door like this, you have a 2nd one for safety and privacy and can leave one open during the day when you're come.
