It is almost like they're embarrassed by their true image? Be the best you can be and put your best face forward. I like the relaxed pics the best, not the stiff posed shots. Mine was taken at a home inspection, LOL

For me it's just too hokey. Either put up a picture, a professional logo, or do nothing.

Paul,
I would not recommend it. But if it makes them happy and makes them money, all the more power to them...A

Paul S. Henderson, Realtor, Tacoma Washington I don't think it projects a professional image of our industry.

Good Wednesday morning Paul. I equate caricatures with Glamour shots. Folks must not like the way they look. Either that, or they need an alter ego.

I sometimes use cartoons in posts but would not consider in place of photo on a business card. This is a big purchase deal, not a joke with characters.

It's not my style. I like something that looks a bit more professional.

Consumers want to see a current photograph and agents should prefer to be recognized at the grocery store.

Logos, ok. Cutesy, not so much. Photos on my card, not for me.

I'm not a big fan of that...if it's a substitute for their profile picture. I'd rather see the what the person actually looks like.

This isn't something I would do. Although I really don't care what another agent wants to have on their business card. To each his own.

This, I havn't seen yet out here. Not sure how I'd feel about that. Probably best to go without a picture at that point.

I don't mind it. there is a mild trend of agents removing photos from their cards and websites. I heard part of the reason was because different nationalities are attracted to agents from their own country, so it you're a white american with a photo on your card, buyers and sellers from India, Viet Nam, etc will just scroll past you because they are looking for an agent from India or Viet Nam, etc. But I think no photo would be better than a cartoon character.

I had one in my early years, but would not now. Too much cute is not the right image.

My personal preference is to use a photo. The purpose of the card is to help them remember what you look like and who you are. A cariacature doesn't do it for me. That said the photo needs to look like the person and not be a glamour or beauty shot either.

We use our logo on our business cards. Not a fan of glam shots and/or caricatures in a business environment...but...each to their own...

I think a real and current picture is better than usiang a cartoon pic. People want to know who you are

EXAMPLE PLEASE.
How can one comment without establishing 'WHAT' the subject is.
Is the image I use on AR a reflection of my insecurity? of my embarrassment?

I took all photos off my cards a few years ago. Rather spend the space advertising the website.

I think they're Looney Tunes! See what I did there?!?
Kidding aside, I don't think anything negative about them, as long as there's a resemblance.

I like it, but for myself I'm not going to use it as a main picture, only as a supplemental marketing material.

Looks tacky and unprofessional and I would never hire someone who handed me a card with a caricature as their photo!
1,280,948
I like the idea of caricatures. I think it's a great marketing tool if it looks like a true cartoon version of you.

Paul - Honestly, I am not a fan. I would much rather see who it is, or nothing at all.
4,322,035
Paul S. Henderson, Realtor, Tacoma Washington one advantage of caricatures is - it's 'ageless'! I have seen a successful mother-daughter team with that on their card.
And may be, this can be a brand too!
6,689,876
I am sure there are a variety of reasons for this, possibly a security issue, or maybe they are not as attractive as others in this industry and feel self conscious about this.
