No they don't. We usually get the results within a few hours. I don't really see a need for it..

Not particularly. First of all, I don't typically attend inspections. Very few of my clients attend. I have an Executive Summary with my reports typically later in the day or within 24 hours. Picking up a few hours this way is not very meaningful to me. What is meaningful is that the inspector be available by phone to answer questions once the report is received and digested.

Rarely, since the ancillary inspectors haven't submitted their results by the time the home inspector is through with his inspection.

I do get the summary at the inspection, and the rest of the report is emailed and received within 24 hours.

Some inspectors that I use, do carry a color lazer printer with them and print out and bind and give to the client at the conclusion of the inspection. They also include a electronic copy and email one to the client and give one to me.

Not in my area. We get an email then a very nice bound notebook for the buyers.

Sometimes - depends on the inspector. Electronic copy is far preferred.

Each inspector does things based on their own business model and customer service design. Some customers also prefer having the report emailed.

Either print it or send it electronically. Yes, very beneficial & professional

It sure would, to be able to leave with a report while it is fresh in ones head. That would be great

No, but I get it very shortly after. Usually just a few hours later, but no real advantage to get it much before. I just wish it could only be during the 9-5 of the business day, so my buyers don't get all worked up at night.

I would rather get it by email with pictures in a professional report. They do go over what they found at the property.

Yes, I have an inspector who provides this as part of his service. The buyer is usually appreciative.

Good morning Michael. Have not been exposed to the idea as yet, but would be open to the idea.
A wonderful Thanksgiving to you and yours.

Michael,
I attend so I know what the crucial items are before I leave. Inspectors here either print the report onsite or deliver it later the same day.

Michael - I usually get the entire inspection delivered via email later that same day, and that is sufficient enough.
If there is anything important to know about, I am usually on-site, so the home inspector can personally show me those things, and explain them so I can understand better.

I use three different inspectors one burns a disc, one hand writes and the other emails the report.

I never print any of the inspection, unless a client ask me to. We receive and share all reports in a digital form.
4,319,873
Michael Thornton indeed it is beneficial - and my inspector shares summary of the inspection first.
3,744,645
A clearly worded, concise report that even I can understand is the most important thing. Getting it at the inspection site would be wonderful.

No, they discuss issues. I usually get a copy of the report by email within a few hours. I don't see any benefits

I believe the on-site reports are just too much boiler plate or at least the ones I receive are Michael Thornton

No, not typically - usually receive the reprot with a summary via email, which is preferred.

Yes most inspectors that I have worked with do that and it is very nice ot leave the inspection with a hard copy in my hand.

We get a verbal of the executive. I take notes of the items. A print out would be nice, but adds a complexity step that could fail. If they finished, went to the car and tried to print the summary before doing the verbal, then we'd know whether or not to take notes. :)

Some do and some send it within 24 hours. As long as time is not an issue (inspection deadlines) having it on the spot is not that important.
