Foreclosures are extremely rare in Ontario because powers of sale are easier and preferable to do from a legal point of view.  Both of these as well as short sales are not common.  We have a very active market with rising prices for many years.

Marketing for them? NO.

I seek neither buyer or sellers for short sales.

However, sometimes you need to do what must be done which sometimes means choosing the least ugly.

Even though I did a few hundred between 2006-2012, I never marketed to them, as there was no choice but to do them in SD,CA. That market largely vanished in 2012. There are a few random ones but mostly gone.

Very few recently. Equity sales dominate.

A small, practically non-existent, part of our current market.  

Thee is a demand for both here. Driving around town yesterday here it looks like we will have a surplus of them soon.

Short sales are still around, but i don't seek them out. i might be writing an offer on a foreclosure soon though. There isn't much differenence between a foreclosure and standard sale usually.

David - I never marketed for these properties, and there are  not very many around my area these days.

Unfortunatly New Jersey still has quite a few short sale properties and foreclosures. I do find that the people who try to buy them are usually unreasonable when making an offer. I only have one short sale property left in my inventory and once its gone I will try to keep away from short sales etc. and work only with equity sales.

Short sales not so much, but I still list and sell foreclosures. The investor activity is still very high on these types of homes. 

No, and I haven't for several years. Don't even hear of them much anymore.

I do not have any short sales right now but do have a dozen new bank owned listings, there is no shortage of them and they are selling briskly.

Yes...instead of this country having tens of millions back in the day, it is now at the tens of thousands in many areas and wont go away soon either. The economy, jobs and low morale is at work nation wide still

David, foreclosures and short sales dropped significantly.

There's still a demand, but very much a shortage of supply.  I find that those looking for these "bargains" are often living in the past and don't understand today's markets.

I don't market them anymore....there are very few in my city and those that exist are quickly taken by cash investors.

I thought it was over but got a REO listing this year. The demand for short sale is always there as people want a good deal.

There are still some in this market, but I don't specifically market to them.

I have landing pages too, but we have such low inventory of distressed properties, it is not worth it.
