Jesus, for a $100 a month I'll call every person up here at least once a week, and give them a swift kick in the a** to get out there and sell. Isn't that what a coach does? Something tells me that if you're a realtor, and are not motivated or self-driven, you could spend $10,000 a month and it would make no difference whatsoever!

Yes Richard Robibero, ABR, SRS - I am in coaching with Buffini & Company for almost 10 years now - and yes, it DOES make a difference.
Now from cost point of view, I do not think you need to spend that much. (I know many of them charge that high!) With ReferralMaker PRO at Buffini and Company, your investment is less than $200/month!
Try it out or call me if you have any question/concern. (And I am just one of the coaching member.)

Back in 2004 and 2005 was in Mike Ferry 1 on 1 coaching. Paid out close to $100K in referral fees in 2005 due to inbound referrals from other agents (primarily in California) - well worth it!

I have never paid for professional coaching but did have access to the materials used by a friend who was a professional coach. If you are willing to implement the recommendations of a coach, it could be a good investment.

It could very well be worth $25,000 a month.
It depends on what is broken and your commitment to fix what is broken.
At the heart of this success lies the individuals fidelity to their commitments. Counter-intentions and self-generated lies need to be exposed, then the agility to follow your vision and exercise your genius can show the results you want.
What's that worth?

Haven't paid for coaching, but did pay for training with Floyd Wickman when I first started. Learned some useful information. i would not pay 700-1000. per month for coaching unless it included much more than just ra ra bs.

My broker has had Mike Ferry as a coach. First in group settings, then as one of the first people Mike offered private coaching to. Then my broker was on stage at the seminars and became one of Mike's first coaches that helped others. He had a great time and his business grew. Obviously, he put in +100% to what he was learning and it showed.
Like Val Evans said, all the money in the world for coaching doesn't account for squat if you don't do what you're told to do and don't have the motivation to go out and do it. Make sure you have those in check before you go spending money.
Same concept as lead generation and CRM solutions. Work the leads you have, otherwise why spend money to get more and get fancy tools to track them?

Richard - I have never paid for professional coaching, but the broker I worked with prior to where I am at now was really into that stuff. He would have us sit and listen to tapes and videos all day long.
I personally wouldn't pay for them. Find a really good agent/broker and ask if they will mentor you.

I have never sought the services of a personal coach. But I have attended many seminars and a couple of different week long training sessions. I have read many books, watched hundreds of hours of videos and still listen to podcasts almost daily.

Richard - in a word YES! I was a "Buffini" girl for 3 years and though I am not currently a 'member' and haven't been for 5 years, I still use the principles that were taught, I still do pop-bys, I still hand write notes, and I still call (though Brian and Joe would NOT be pleased with my inconsistentcy). The most important thing with any coaching system is to USE IT - and give it at least a year.

So just to be clear. The coaching I was contemplating is for those that are currently making six figure incomes and up. Obviously they will accept you if making less but if you are not already doing great business you probably aren't motivated to take it to the next level. So if you're making $250,000 and want to bring it up to $500,000 and beyond.
I find it interesting on how strong some of the feelings are from both sides of the spectrum.
In the end I decided not to do the coaching. I am a "learner" and a "doer" by nature. I take the best things I've learned from others, from courses, from books, and so on. I've done well doing things that way. I can't say that I would not contemplate coaching in the future. But just that I'm in a good place right now.
Thanks for the replies everyone.
