I'm already in the place I've always wanted to be.  Goodyear, Arizona!  It is located in the West Valley of Phoenix Metro.  Why do I love it?  It's close to the I-10 freeway which means, close to downtown Phoenix, Scottsdale, San Diego, Santa Monica, even Rocky Point Mexico.  Also, being based in the West Valley helps me avoid city traffic while still getting to enjoy the attributes of big city life.  Best news of all...amazing weather for the majority of the year.  Okay, the Summer can be pretty hot, but I just hop on the I-17 and head up to gorgeous Sedona or Flagstaff to cool off.

Hey Doyle-maybe you just need a nice long vacation! I had that feeling and moved to an island in the Caribbean which lasted all of 2 years! Then I tried Mexico for 5 years and I am right back where I started

Elkhart, Indiana may be old for a couple months in the Winter, but the cost of living is low, Home prices are reasonable and they have a restauant the makes the best meatball spaghetti.

Well, that means you won't get in my way while i am fishing.

Many of us in the seniors category have been considering a move. In addition to the snow, we have high home prices and high real estate taxes.

You won’t find better weather than you have now. I have looked and looked. How can you stay there and adjust other aspects of life to accomplish your goal?

I'd call Marco Giancola for guidance with that.... he lives in the best area with beautiful beaches and sunshine.... 

I would move to islands. It is completely different life style there from my very loved but very mad Hell-Lay:)

Believe it or not, I am asking myself that exact same question now, Doyle!  I think every place has pros and cons.  Generally speaking, I love where I live (except for winter), so I've been going south for a month or two.  That seems to work for now.

If you like really hot summers and crazy windy winters then move to Las Vegas. I personally do not like vegas the only good thing is that my family is here.

I would highly recommend Newport Beach, CA., Costa Mesa, CA., or Anaheim, CA.  All of these are in Orange County, which is still part of the LA metro, but minus some craziness. Takes about 45 mins on the 405 Freeway to reach LA. Newport Beach is an upscale beachy city with incredible views and weather. Costa Mesa and Anaheim are ultra family friendly. As far as LA goes, Studio City is great but really pricey. Santa Monica is the bees knees though. Decent prices (as far as SoCal is concerned) and minutes from everything, pedestrian friendly too!

I don't mind winter. It's snowing again tonight. I'm not much help for you. 

I would say Denver, it is HOT here, but that would be the real estate market.   You would have to come in June, July or August for it to be warm temps.

Las Vegas it not to high priced and is warm most of the year, Hawaii would also be a prime change I would think.

I hope to move to Hawaii!  Warm year round and beautiful!

With friends in so many warmer areas we visit Phoenix, Tuscon, Playadel Car, Dunedin and Key West. To move there I would really hate moving snow and the better half likes to see the Gran Kids!

You should look at the cost of living in the cities that you are considering and also whether you you want to retire or work there and decide.

Austin Texas is a hot market.

How about Hawaii?  That seems like a dream come true.

 Good Wednesday morning Doyle. I would like to move to the southern part of the state, say somewhere around Phoenix or Tucson. Oh, they are not in Tennessee I forgot.

Well, of course, Folsom, CA. And I know a great Realtor who can find you the right home.  But seriously, Folsom is really a hidden gem in NorCal. I moved here from Orange County and I see license plates all the time from OC and wonder, how did they hear about Folsom? Why is everyone moving here from SoCal?

Asheville, NC is my new fantasy home. 

Vegas. There are tons of re activities as they investors are returning...
