My inspector usually sends the emailed version of his report either the same night or early the next morning.  

Email and the sooner the better.  One brings me a full spiral notebook with full details and photos. 

My reports are emailed to me and my clients within 24 hours of inspection. Mostly they arrive sooner, but the guarantee is within 24 hours.

Most around here depending on time of inspection have it emailed that day or early the next.

It all depends on the inspector and what tools they use to do the report. One of the inspectors used by my clients does everything on his iPad, and emails it a few hours after the inspection. Another takes notes and pictures and emails within 24 hours. Another provides a check-off handwritten document the same day, with pictures (if needed) taken by the buyer.

Usually emails the next day w/ color pictures included, unless we are under a tight deadline he will accommodate a same day request.

Emailed the same day seems to be the most common for the ones I've worked with recently.  I don't think I've had a printed on site report yet.

Mkchael, depends on the inspector. The one I use will print it onsite and follow-up with an email version. He was the first in my area to do so.

Years ago my favourite inspector printed on site.  Now everything is emailed the same day to the Buyer but they've been able to read the summary online prior to it being mailed.

Hi Michael --  they used to deliver on site but with the move towards less paper, most now send via email typically that evening or at the latest the next day.  

Depends on the inspector. Many still are tech savvy and do a handwritten report which drives me crazy. I would rather have a templated tech style report with pictures and this is better for the client consdiering what they pay. However, all with do a summary with the buyer if they are there.

Inspector I work with delivers the report on-site in a nice binder with coupons, welcome letter, list of restaurants, shopping areas etc as well as email the same day.

There are some who deliver it on site and some who email it the next day.

I'm usually emailed the report the same day or the next day the latest. I try to use as little printing waste  as possible. I'm Green:) and mostly digital.

Michael - The home inspector I use most often provides an emailed copy usually the same evening as when the inspection was performed.

I usually get them emailed the same day unless the inspection is done late in the day.

So far, everyone with whom my buyers have worked always email the same day.

About 1/3 each. On site is nice or at least by end of the day. Next day is a little slow.

Most of the inspectors we use will have the report emailed by the evening.  Occasionally it's the next day.

Usually emailed within two days for the full report, with an executive summary done verbally on the spot to the buyer and their agent.

We get a verbal walk-through report on site and a printable-virtual report with photos and hyperlinks, 12-24 hours later. I have used the same inspector for 12 years.

I think it varies....most email that day....

Some inspectors print the report on site, others in a few hours email the report with photos, and then follow-up with the printed copy by mail.

The speed of delivery is less important to me and the Buyer than the way the information is organized in the report. Most Buyers attend in person the Inspector's walk-through and they hear from the inspector first-hand what will be in the report.
