Praful,
Neither one of us is "are we there yet?" type. Of course there is nothing wrong with being that way.
We believe in holding the vision of where we are going, trusting the process and we know we will get there. We liken it to being on a jet heading for Paris from Los Angeles. It is a long trip, so we just relax and enjoy the journey, and we don't ask anyone are we there yet? We know we are going to get there, and we do...I hope that answers your question. It is a different way of thinking.
One of the yogis that our friend was involved with was asked by his devotees after he talked about all the improvements he wanted to make in his village in India, as to where he was going to get the money. His answer was very simple, he said, "From where it is!". Subsequently, he built a hospital with state of the art equipment, sewers and running water...A

Daily - I'm like a pilot not wanting to end up in NY when I was aiming for Florida - every minute detail counts.

Sadly I only analyze mine once a year. It makes sense to check it throughout the year. Hey that might be a great blog for you!

Everyday.
Did I list a property today? Yeah.
Did I open escrow today? Yeah.
Did I close a transaction today? Yeah.
Did I meet a potential client today? Yeah.
Does it happen every day? No but that's how I continuosly track my business. Attitude.

I track results daily and analyze weekly, it's the only way to make sure every dollar spent is bringing back more than one dollar back as income.

Two major goals for 2015 was increase transaction count by 15% and raise average price point by $200,000.
This required developing new solutions and better audience targeting.
The results: I under estimated how much I would enjoy this market segment and the outcome exceeded my expectation, and did not actually require more work, just a pivot in my efforts.
2016 will see more diversity in solutions and services and pressing the higher price point which actually means referring the not prime business to others.
Looking for JV partner for launch of CIS Score which has proven to be highly effective in lead generation in my local market although the process is currently manual.
2016 goals are to have an associate manage more of the real estate business while more, not all, of my time goes towards auxiliary business through beta to launch.

I have a spreadsheet for every year I have been in business. I list each transaction, date closed, amount of sale, amount of commission, and transfer that information to a monthly spreadsheet. I keep track of my highest sale, most sales/month, highest month of sales and then end of year keep track of where my business comes from, and what cities I have sold in. Sure helps with where I need to focus on prospecting!

Many things are traced automatically, other things we could do a better job with tracking.

We track the results on a weekly basis. It's calculated that we are going to come up just short of our goals this year. We're going to be about 15% short of it. We still need to get a little more organized to hit our goals. We're working on it, but we're only human. Good question!

Good morning Praful. The only regular business activities that I track are the number of referrals I give out daily, weekly, monthly and yearly, all on Excel. Also, all the referrals I get in, where they come from.

In remuneration negotiations for being the broker of record for several innovative brokerages, I had to do projections of my personal earning capabilities as a baseline.
I now keep a 5-page spreadsheet of my agents' active listings, under contract listings and closed listings for every transaction.
I love it. I can project. I can see which agents are growing. I can see percentage differentials between listing prices and sales prices.
I highly recommend tracking.

I track it every month, but don't have specific goals. Why? Because it's hard to see beyond a goal. Plus results vary and I need to stay flexible. If business is doing well in one direction, I need to push that way further.

You should know where you stand every day. I usually focus on monthly results but that requires daily efforts.
