This has got me into trouble when I wanted otherwise. My Jewish sense of Humor works for me but not for everyone else at times. I have found myself asking...Did my humor fail to the perplexed hearer. This clears it up some.

When it is appropriate, it is appropriate, when it isn't, it isn't!  Your gut will tell you.  A

Not in excess of 17 seconds of belly laughing. The non-laughers will be offended.

Be aware, all efforts at humor will offend someone. But I say, 'Let the good times roll!" Leave the curmudgeons to murmur among themselves.

The more the merrier until it is inappropriate, ridiculous or hurtful. I believe in having fun, but there are times for humor and times for complete seriousness.    It depends on the situation. 

When levity is the only answer!

Doyle - Well in this day and age, humor can get you into a lot of trouble, so I would be very cautious. What 99.9% of the population may think is funny may turn off one person, and that can be very damaging.

I prefer humor. Life is too short and too serious to live without it. When I shop for greeting cards, it better be funny or I'm not buying it.

We're in real estate.  We laugh so we don't cry.

I think it depends on the kind of person you're with.

There is nothing wrong with humor.  Those peoples stress levels have got to be lower.

As long as it doesn't cross the line  (and, the line moves continually!)  When humour is offensive, it is no longer funny.

I like humor...many times there is a theme behind them

After reading some of the questions here I thought this WAS a comedy club.

Clean humor is ok.  When I ask clients to sign the buyer brokerage I use humor to break the tension and they sign.  I am 100% for buyer's signing the buyer brokerage.

I have no problem with humor.  And plead guilty to posting them regularly.

I say let 'er rip!  So long as it isn't geared to offend anyone it should be fine.  We need humor in our life.

No limits on anything that brightens your day, and total restriction on what doesn't. Just like reading what my Dad called the Funny Pages in the Sunday paper, skip the ones you don't like and enjoy the ones you do! 

Is there a limit to things like this?

Every one has a specific sense of humor. Some people learn the same jokes and repeat them all the time. I would not say ''how much'' I'd say, if people usually laugh at your jokes, you have enough:) 

As much as the law will allow.
