Roy,

I would really like to be using one but the rules just make it too difficult. I haven’t found a licensed operator here to do it for me.

We hire a professional occasionally, Roy. I've been paying attention to the FAA news too. There are some good reasons to regulate drone use.

yes we do, for pics but also on "possible" view lots, we get the drone to go up and see what the view is from the second floor or a rooftop deck etc

It depends on the property.  We've used a local drone guy (for lack of a better term) on certain properties that warrant aerial video and photography.  Does it help sell the home?  Eh...  maybe.  The biggest thing it does is make us look really cool.

No, but haven't really had that "type" of property of late. However, if I listed one of the many horse farms that we have here, I would certainly find a licensed operator to do some shots for me.

If I were doing a new highrise condo with a developer, I would use to show the "assumed" views from each floor/unit.

No, we have one but Larry won't use it because FAA says you can't for business unless you have a license.  We will be watching for the announcement.

Nope.  I believe the restriction are too serious to be ignored.  Can't wait to hear what FAA is up to now...

I haven't used on yet.  Our Virtual Tour company has one and will film for us but there hasn't been a listing yet that needs an overview.  I would use it if needed.

No, but at this point the liability is too great to risk in relationship to the benefits. If I do it will be by the book.

Here is the link to the FAA site on UAS usage. And, the NAR says not without a license. I look forward to reading the FAA announcement.
