Early is always a sign of respect and professionalism - but not too early.

We do our best to get there about 5 minutes early. Anything earlier than that is rude in my opinion. You don't want to start off a listing appointment by getting there 20 minutes early and having the sellers rush around to be ready. They're under enough stress as it is.

I'm like you. I will arrive to the area early, but I try not to be more than five or ten minutes early. It's only respective to the homeowner. They may want to do some sprucing up or something else before I arrive. When I arrive extra early...I drive around the area. I do this a lot.
I also say 'area' because I live in an extremely rural area. So I could have a rural subdivision with only five homes in it, or it could be a neighborhood with 50 homes. Or it could be a home on 3, 5 10, 15 acres or whatever. But I want to see the other real estate signs up. The condition of them, and just get a better feel for the area. I've already checked out the other homes around for listings and solds...so I'm prepared.

I'm like you, I show up early but wait for the time we agreed to. People are at their homes, they should have the privacy to get ready for us without us showing up early.

Right on time. If I get there early I sit in my car. People like you to do exactly as you say you are in business and life. Early is as bad as late in my mind.

I rarely arrive more than 5 minutes early. I have my clocks set ahead 5 minutes to get me there on time.

I like to arrive right on time. I usually arrived at the property about 10 minutes early, refocus and relax outside until my appointed time.

Heaven is a place where all appointments are 10 to 15 minutes ahead of schedule although there you have all the time in the World. I like the idea of Heaven on Earth so I'm usually early if at all possible.

I usually arrive a little early as well. I do however wait until my appointment time before knocking on the door.

I arrive early, more as a result of personality than of business. But I wouldn't disturb the homeowners 20 minutes before they were expecting me.

Right on time to avoid any unnecessary inconvenience on their part and to show I'm respectful of their time. Equally important to good grooming, it also demonstrates professionalism.

I like to arrive in the neighborhood early and knock on the door within 5 minutes of the appointment time. If you go too early, it can put a client on a defense if they aren't ready and you can come across too eager. I find just a few minutes before is the right amount to give them the right impression, let them know you are professional and value their time.

A couple of minutes early so I can look over my presentation materials in the car. At the door right on time. Too early and they might not be ready

A few minutes early to gather my stuff in the car, but not early or late at the door. In my book, early is more rude than late. A little late is okay, almost expected; early is an intrusion.

I always aim to arrive early. If you are early, you are guaranteed to be on time. If you aim to be on time, you may be late if something unexpected happens.

I try to show up at the exact time of an appointment. I don't like to wait and I don't like to make others wait for me. I'll give about 7 minutes before calling to see where they are and will call if I'm more than 3 minutes late.

Thanks to all of you. It never occured to me to be more than five minutes early. I wouldn't want the sellers to feel pressured, uncomfortable or unprepared.
I do usually arrive in the vicinity early, but that is merely to check out the neighborhood and to look for other potential sellers.

Chris,
If I haven’t been to the house before (I will have it mapped out) I arrive early and drive by then go drive around the neighborhood a bit before ringing the bell on time.
