Did wine with my label on it that had "Thank you" on it. It was a great hit with my clients.

Tammy Lankford while back, I had sent magnetic calendars to my clients. That's the extent of it.
Now, thinking of Cutco knives engraved with my name on it.
Top Of Mind Awareness does help.

Annually we do a calendar wtth beautiful 4 color photographs of the area that people reqeest and we hear are in break rooms...teachers lounges....churches etc. We do imprinted items that are more expensive but kept...an aluminum travel mug for buyers...Having owned a marketing agecncy that included a disributorship of imprited items..find a counselor and ask them waht's new...give them quantity and budget...let them shop the latest and greatest.

Good Thursday morning Tammy. I do make mousepads and scratch pads that are branded with the company information. I am going to purchase some pens.

Occasionally. We buy all of our things from Myron. The most popular are the stylus pens.

You can get a promotional products rep to come out and give you some ideas. Their pricing should be competitive with online pricing, but you'll get the personal service.
I order calendars that are not the typical realtor calendars. I've had people say they look forward to receiving one every year.
I've also ordered safety strobe lights for Halloween. They're also good to clip onto a dog leash or collar.
If there's an item you really like, ask if they go on special at a certain time of year or if you can purchase a large amount so you can get the high quantity price and have them shipped and billed in increments.

I've given away a bunch of things in the past. The last thing was our customized calenders last year.

Tammy,
You have many options. However, you are choosing the MINDLESS options of pens and calendars and whatever others can sell you. There will be no end to opportunities to give others your money.
Let's consider something permanent, evergreen. brand building.
No, not a statue of yourself on town square...but something just as influential.
A real, honest to goodness. macro focused city website with a ROBUST (every garage sale and business) calendar of events.
Then your give away will be T-shirts with some form EATONTON.com on the front and back. (Hint: given only to those who put on the T the moment they receive it, that is IMPORTANT) Those who don't want to wear get the bumper sticker with the URL that ALWAYS ends up on the refrig or bulletin board by their desk. And to my surprise, on the bumpers of area business owners.s
It is an investment, but it is also a gold mine in creating branding opportunities, local merchant affiliations (think real hard about that) and THE voice of Eatonton.
Pens, without question, are easier.

Good morning Tammy. I did once, I don't even recall how many years ago, it was a one time event for me.

Hi, Tammy. No offense but the stylus pens seem to have gone out of fashion. At least in my area. I do pens and sports schedules. People love my Bronco's schedules. They are magnetic.
I also do pens. I have a great company that I work with. I use the barrel pens and everyone tells me how much they love them. They ask me for them. They love the grip and the larger barrel. I get them for about 52 cents a piece. I buy 500 at a time. I take them to some of the area businesses, and the employees love me for it. I actually have the employees refer me to people, because of my pens.
