My Grandmothers, paternal and maternal, preparing my favorites on an every other day schedule. Weekends off of course where they could go shopping for hats. They loved their hats and scarves. Missing you both, especially at this time of the year as the Holidays approach.
I have my dream kitchen as we did a full gut remodel a few years ago. Among other things it includes custom cabinets of Pommele Sapele, a Wolf 60" gas range with 6 burners, French plate and dual ovens, a Gaggenau wall oven with rotisserie, Subzero fridge, warming drawer, built-in microwave, an 8' island...the list goes on...
Tons of storage space.
Granite counter tops with a huge island in the middle of it
I prefer an open concept with stainless steel appliances. Granite countertops and cabinets with pullout drawers in some parts instead of shelves. Microwave and under cabinet lighting.
I've created 3 new kitchens so far, rehabbing each new home we purchased. Depending on the style of the house I'd go with double thick bull nose edging for granite slab counter tops, high end modular cabinets (usually floor to ceiling unless the ceilings are high) plus custom fit panels and add ons to suit the layout, and hardwood flooring. Style needs to match the house. Here goes.. my long list of "must include": a view window over the main sink, towel bar/hook for hand towels by each sink. a deep serving bar (deep means 18 inches minimum so trays and large dinner plates fit easily) that seats at least 6 guests - preferably 8 or 10 - outside the kitchen's traffic pattern but allows comfortable socializing to flow while the hosts are in the kitchen, a "bar sink" that's big and deep enough to clean large pots when entertaining, a small pantry with pullout shelves near the frig plus a full walk-in pantry in or adjacent to the kitchen, a minimum of 4 counter work areas (for parties when we have several people doing food prep), an appliance garage or pop up shelf so the food processor and other heavy items are out of sight but easy to access, all shelves and drawers below counter height are full pull outs, good task lighting through with some/all dimmers for mood lighting when not working in the kitchen, Internet connection and space for small wall-mount screen, sound system, recycling center and compost container out of sight, frig with a separate freeze or if the kitchen is smaller a frig with freezer drawer on the bottom, frig/stove/dishwasher highest quality affordable with matching easy-clean fronts.
I'm sure I left out some details but I think you have enough to get my picture!
terrible at painting anything on a Sunday evening - but I would have a potfiller
I would like some place for the recyclables .
Computer desk, fridge, stove, dishwasher, and tons of outlets.
I have teh kitchen I want. It has a walk-in pantry, double ovens plus gas cooktop, pullouts and deep drawers for pots and pans, soft close, lots of lighting including undercounter lighting and a touch faucet.
I am in the midst of a kitchen remodel right now. Thought about re-vamping the layout to include double ovens, but vetoed that. New cabinets with roll-outs, crown and under-mount lighting. Quartz counters, travertine back splash. I added a USB plug in on one wall for IPOD. Refinished the wood floors, changed out the nook light. Will look awesome, and will be finished sometime this coming week.
It depends on what time of home, it could be a beach home, a cabin, country, or a nice big mansion. Anything really that fits those types of homes as long as it has a gas stove and two ovens.
I sent you an eMail already.... This is based on a strained budget.....
