Yes, I would not hesitate if it was for my family.  And I volunteered in the US Army as a Green Beret and was prepared to give my life for the people in our nation.  Many of my friends did give their lives.

Richie Alan Naggar when it comes to answering such question - no doubt, I'd say yes!

We do that for our family and children - perhaps lot more than giving our life! We want our children a healthy and happy life.

We sacrifice a lot for them - we can do it better by staying alive than costing our life.

Driving around for a son to get a Black Belt in Karate or a daughter to get the Diploma/Degree in Classical Indian Dance can be done - and perhaps are of more value - than giving a life!

So when it comes to giving a life, why not?

Yes I would.  I know I would for my family and I might for a random stranger. I know my Donald would and I'm perfectly okay with that.  He was a personal body guard for someone in the military when I fell in love with him and I always knew he'd have to take a bullet for "the man" if it came to that. I know I'd give my life to save any child if I could.

Tough question Richie, depends on the circumstances and I hope to never be in a situation where this is tested.

No, I've spent far too much time perfecting my life and making it work to take on a brand new set of problems and hangups.

Tough question!  First of all, I hope it never comes to that, but secondly I hope I can get the desired resolution without that ultimate end result.

I really don't know and there is so much to consider what happens if that does occur as far as impacts on others.  I guess I can't really answer that until it comes down to it.  I used to think yes and that it would be the most honorable way to go, but now that I'm older and I have several families depending on me for the roof over their head as well as many other people depending on me... I just don't know.

Good morning Richie. Hopefully I would never have to make that decision, but when it comes to family, absolutely.

I would consciously give my life for a few people in my life.  I would also risk my life for the benefit of others if I thought I would most likely be killed anyway.... such as in a mass murder like happened in Oregon the other day.

While sitting here writing and thinking about it I would tend to say no.  Having been in odd circumstances before, as we all have been, I tend to react towards someones safety and well being without thinking of the possible consequences for myself.  Mark
