I am in NJ not far from the Zuhl's and yes, the summer was slow. I am seeing a pick up in buyer presence post Labor Day and most hopeful it will bring more production with it!!

It has slowed down here. We are an oilfield related area with many layoffs happening. I have seen this before, no panic.

We're seeing an uptick in showings but not sales here.  A few offers I've received have been 20, 50 and 100k below asking price (on houses already below the comps).  Not a buyer's market yet, but who knows.

We typically will experience a slower market after summer and throughout the holidays.  Though, I'm not seeing any big shift in the market as a whole.

Inventory is still low in Socal, pricing up, still a sellers market. But I will say traffic seems to be slowing in showings and open house.

Our market is still very active but I've seen alot of sellers make price reductions on properties.  Coastal CA continues to be a hot market and affordable (well as much as they can be) are in short supply.  but it "feels" like things might be slowing down a bit.  I think many buyers are on the fence waiting for the presidential election to be over to see where the markets are going.

It needed to slow down around here and in Northern CA, things were out of hand for a while (and still are, even though they've calmed some).  Still very much a seller's market in many areas.

Michael Thornton I do see the slow down. Market Action Index for some markets in my area are barely above 30 which used to be in 40s, 50s, 60s and in some market 70s.

(30 is an indicator of balanced market, anything about 30 is seller's market and below is buyer's market.)

We still have a shortage of homes for sale in NH in some areas. I am seeing a huge increase in home listings that need work and are priced higher than market value. Those seem  to be staying in the market. My sales have been strong and steady for good clean homes and homes needing work that are priced right
