With our renters all of their paperwork is sent in a pdf file.

With our Corporate clients, most things are digital including the contract agreement.

With our regular Forestry Clients, many are older folks who do not participate in the digital age, so we print most things.

Good question Debbie, I have most clients requesting to sign the docs on hard copies, especially listing agreements but most want to access them digitally later.

I find most of my clients online.  This is the best way to find clients that will work with digital signing.  I find no need to give a hard copy to them.

Most clients prefer to receive paperwork digitally.  If they want hard copies or both, that's what they get.

Some clients are initially reluctant to use electronic signatures.  I ask if they'd agree to do a test signing to try it out and see if they like it and they almost always do.

We are e-contracts in Colorado and ZipFroms in Texas. There are times I send things via pdf and in very rare cases I provide hard copies.

Once I send the paperwork for e signature I also email them a hard copy letting them know to be on the look out for the e signature email.

Debbie Reynolds with very few exceptions, all my clients like Digital Paperwork. They have access to all the paperwork throughout the transaction and they can save copies, too.

Less than 10% want digital. 90% want printed hard copies, especially if they are elderly, or part of an LLC. They prefer to meet in person, discuss, and make changes as they review. Others want to take hard copy to their attorney for review. It's too easy for people to forward emails. I once had someone call to ask about a contract, and I had no idea who they were. They said the son of so and so forwarded me his parents contract and asked me to review it and see what I thought. I asked him if he was sellers attorney or accountant? He said no, just a friend of their son. He said he had sold a couple houses over the years and knew what to look for. I then told him that I couldn't discuss anything with him or the sellers son.
