Are you speaking of representing the buyer of a new construction home?  If so - then never.  In my experience, the builder/agent for the builder takes over the whole transaction.  Once I know the build timeline and milestones (ie: picking options, flooring, etc) I check in with my buyer clients to make sure they have their appointment and then I follow up once they have completed it.  I also check in after any milestone and if they are financing, I check in with the lender.  I go with them to the closing table and then when they take possession of the property.

Now, if you are talking about my own home build, then weekly until they begin to drywall then almost daily.

Frank Rubi, MBA almost at each and every step, I'd like to be with my buyers.

Of course, I may skip pretty trivial meetings where they are just going to talk about colors!

Good Monday morning Frank. There are a lot of folks have problems with new construction. For the most part, most agents do not want to do home inspections under construction.

It depends on the construction project.  Some projects are completed quickly, while others, such as highrise condo developments may take 4 or 5 years from the start of the preconstruction sales period until completion and registration.

we look at it like the agents can be as involved as they like. lord know they end up not making s much per hour as  if it were a built and done home and sold. we are looking at creating a different compensation plan. it makes some conscientious agents not want to do new const. and the "lazy" one we dont want there.. :)
