No; it is completely unnecessary in our market areas.

Occasionally with our Military Re-locations, they will offer a "Decorating Bonus".  I dislike any bonus being offered to the Realtors, but instead prefer a bonus going to the Buyers only.

No in fact I think it's wrong to do so.  I tell my sellers for the best results lower the price by whatever the bonus would be.  I never bring up the subject, but a couple of my sellers have.

Winston Heverly I don't offer any bonuses; however, my seller clients have offered a bonus in the past.

I don't.  There's no spot to imput a bonus, so it would be in the comments.  You can't search by bonus.

I think the bigger issue is the price point and/or marketing aren't quite where they need to be yet.

No, tried it a couple times. They don't seem to work. Better to just raise the compensation % in MLS to 3.25% or 3.5% if seller wants to offer bonus.

Hi, I'm with the majority of responses. The only time I have found it to work is when you really need to move the property, and it was priced correctly to begin with.

I've found that reducing the listing price by the bonus amount does more than offering a bonus.

Spend the money on improving the appearance of the property rather than offering a bonus.
