No different from the wanna bees that claim they are 'Luxury Residential Realtors®"  I never heard of an LRR designation and just what contitutes one? Let's see the sales numbers; then we will decide!

This is more of a synonym, not an oxymoron, with an emphasis on "moron".

I think that agent needs all the help he/she can get....

Similar to when someone tells you they are "Honest".

Sometimes when they tell you that they are something it is time to scrutinize them a little more, like "Honest Joe" the used car dealer.

I get and see things from other agents with stuff like that all the time. In one ear and out the other!

Just a random, self-appointed title.

In this case, professional is appropriate as an adjective but not as part of the title. 

maybe trying to communicate this is his chosen profession, not a hobby or part time/side job?

Probably just trying to seem professional, just using the word does not help that case at all however. 

I cna undestand it.  We are not looked high upon by the public so trying to ser yourself apart is important.

It's a good think he's a professional.  Wouldn't want any old amateur Realtor leaving cards in the box!  

Annette there are some agents who work partime and call themselves professional . Then there ar some of us who say they are professional but act otherwise . It good to see someone say the are professional but should also tell what he or she does that sets them apart from other agents who use this designation
