Praful, the size of phones is something I have thought about myself.  When the cell phones first came out they were huge and heavy.  Then they started to get smaller and smaller and smaller.  Now I see they are getting bigger and bigger and bigger.  I guess things always have to be changing so that people will be encouraged to buy and buy some more.

Within 2 years there won't be both, just a bigger smartphone.

Sometimes there is no difference.

I see it now.

Praful Thakkar I purchased an iPhone 6 plus because of the larger screen. The larger phone gets in the way of everything when clipped on my belt. I think the smart phone will eventually replace the tablet.

When I get a new phone It'll be the iPhone Mini Mini (6 Plus S or whatever it'l be called) I think it is already happening. With an iPhone 6+ I wont have a need for my iPad Mini anymore. 

When millenials start getting cataracts.

 Good Wednesday morning Praful. Most of the smart phones are about the size of the iPad mini. All that need to do is activate the chip and it becomes a smart phone. Quite frankly it's all about the money. This way they keep you purchasing two devices.

Praful - Funny you should ask this. The last time I was in an Apple store, I told the employee that I should just buy the Apple iPad Mini with the wi-fi data plan and use it as my smart phone.

No. I didn't even get the iphone 6+ because it was too big for my little short fingers. I do not want a larger phone.

im getting a tablet to hook upto my phone as a hot spot. i have the huge android, and it is borderline too big

I hope they never get that big. My iPhone 6Plus is plenty big and any larger and it won't fit in my pockets.

I've actually wondered the same thing myself, especially after I bought the iPhone 6 Plus which is not much smaller than a 7" tablet I have.

Actually...the phone components are shrinking more and more. A chip may be on the horizon soon
