Twitter? I'd like to know how people are using Twitter to generate any business or traffic. It's a waste of time. Nobody reads your tweets about your real estate business or listings.

YouTube can work because you can rank your videos and people watch videos about real estate. They also act on them when you close the video with a call to action.  The call to action at the end of the video can be no more than " the link below the video for more information".  This works!

Facebook ads work well because you can easily target your location with an ad. If you set it up right, it can be a steady flow of cost-effective leads.

If you have not used Facebook, check out this free course at It shows you how to setup an ad for your real estate business.

Yesterday, I wrote a blog post reviewing the course:

ActiveRain,, Facebook Business Page, LinkedIn (although they do not consider themselves SM) & I use Twitter for event announcements, but no real results there. I use others, but as far as income results, all the above.

Looks like i'm navigating towards IG these days. The average U.S. adult spends 11 hours each day in front of a screen. This number is increasing year-over-year, and with every rising generation. So, we should pay attention where our clients spend the most of their online time.

As far as forums go - it's AR for me.   I receive contacts on a consistent basis where I know the source is ActiveRain even though the name is rarely mentioned.
