If you don't let all of your data sources flow through them, how do you expect them to analyze all of your data for advertising revenue opportunties, make it easy for various groups to collect data about you and so much more?

Well, Richie, it certainly makes it easier for Big Brother to monitor all that you do that way!

I think that most were hoping for MS to take a step back toward Win 7, but it sounds like the may have just compounded the issues encountered in win 8.

Not sure if I am going to download the upgrade yet.

Have been waiting to see what the public sees with Windows 10 before I even try.  

I absolutely detest my windows 8 and am scared silly to upgrade.  Do I think it can get worse????? YES! I have no confidence in this new OS.  Our MLS is not even going to support Windows 8 after September of this year and they say we have to upgrade to 10.  I am shopping apple right now.

I am not brave enough to download Windows 10 without a tech support person.

Richie Alan Naggar I downloaded it a little over a week ago. It does have the option not to devulge your location. It does have a lot of useless stuff I don't see the utility. The ads are starting to come in. I got one the other day for upgrading Office and save 50%. Since I have use Siri on my iPhone, I thought I would turn on Cortana. They wanted me to sign up for an account. I passed!

 Good Saturday morning Richie. Anything that Windows puts out is garbage. The only reason I use it is that my inspection program needs to run under a Windows-based operating system. I am not ready to download Windows 10 yet. The reason that Windows 7 was so good is that it was developed by the folks at Apple.
