We have favorite contractors, but our broker insists that we always give out at least a list of 3 or more.

I know several trademan, but don't alwyas rush to recommend any of them. I recommended a great long time plumber with hard to beat priced not long ago for a fixer upper farmhouse my buyer  bought. Well, her boyfriend and son in law thought they knew better, so they called a commercial plumber out of the phone book who proceeded to do the work as if he was working on an office building and charged commercial prices as well. She called and complained..... and I told her " I told you to call X, not some commercial plumber in the phone book". Annoying....

I love my vendors and I'm willing to share their names any time I'm asked. I also have companies that I suggest against if someone asking me about them , since I/or my clients had a terrible experience with them.

absolutely I have a list of preferred vendors. Today one got removed from the list.

i wont hesitate to suggest pros i know. but i have seen their work over and over

I also have a list of tradesmen to recommend, and most times my clients use them. 

I tend to use the same contractors over and over. Currently, I need a brick mason and a roofer for cedar shingles.

My reliable and trusted team include a plumber, a/c guy and Inspector. Working on finding a contractor who shows up and does quality work.

I have several speciality guys and a few good handymen that I recommend. 

yes...we prefer to recommend contractors we have used if at all possible..in the absence of that...we ask contractors who know contractors.

i have a group of vendor partners i refer and always ask the person that i referred to to let me know how they did and if they have any trades they feel strongly about.  its great networking
