At our RE/MAX office, agents purchase their own signs.

We buy our own.  We also only put our own phone number, website or other contact info on it.

My company buys them and the frames. I buy my own riders to go on them, though. 

Keller Agents have "our business our way" and our signs have our names and contact information as we choose it to be designed and displayed...we pay for it...but it is not advertising JUST the brokerage and selling the leads back to their own agetns as others do.

Hi Debbie.  My first two brokerages made me buy signs on Day One.  That's a significant expense for a new agent not making any money because you usually can't buy just one -- the minimum order is five.

My current broker provides signs though we can also buy our own.  A new agent only needs to buy sign riders to go on them.

I think offering free signs is a perk that shows consideration for agents who may be short on funds.

I got three generic signs from the Broker when I joined.

What baffles me is that brokerages make a big deal out of the fact that if an agent joins their brokerage, they'll buy signs and business cards for the agent.  

I've seen agents get all excited over that.  It seems like a dumb reason to switch.

I've been through few companies and it does depend what you negotiate for yourself. I always used branded signs.

The Company furnishes the For Sale Signs. We put name writers on them.  The company pays for them too.  The company also does not charge for putting them up and taking them down.  We believe if we are getting part of the commission, we should do some of the work!

No, if you join our office, they offer to pay for 500 business cards, and maybe a discount for the first month for rent.

I furnish them for the entire company.
