Yes, a lot of business, for my businesses and other organizations I lead, gets done on my dining room table.

Every so often, one does come in to sign paperwork or deliver paperwork or checks.

No - my standard poodle barks too much and has been known to bite people when they leave!

Yes, if I know them well. I offer a free notary service for my past clients, so sometimes past clients stop by.

Good morning Evelyn. Not our primary residence, but a number of times in our beach house.

no way. Now I have had them in my home, but not to conduct business. I will ALWAYS have an office.

Never. I always keep home separate from business. Would rather set up meeting at local coffees shop, or at a property.

Good morning Evelyn Johnston,
Half of my costumers are mail away, out of state or out of the country. All those communications are done over the phone , email and electronic signing. To answer your question, the answer is no:)

No, I meet my buyers at the office. My home is my home and not an office.

I would prefer to keep business and personal separate. I have had clients that I know very well to my home, but not often.
1,209,271
Seriously? When would a situation like that ever come up? That makes no sense to me.

Only if they are good friends; otherwise prefer to meet on neutral ground.

Never. My brokerage has a great office setting with conference rooms. It is nice to be in a professional enviroment and an easy to find location. I have also met at coffee shops or restaurants when clients are a distance away. I have become good friends with many clients and will invite them into my home in a social setting.

Evelyn Johnston it depends on relationship. Few of them do have that privilege for sure.

I don't like to, but I have. I live in a very long narrow coastal market. I live at one end, and my office is at the other end. Therefore, sometimes it is necessary.

As most realtors work from home, we all have a designated office space within the home. However, I do not conduct face to face business at home due to privacy issues. In addition, clients expect a credible and legitmate agent to meet them at the office not the residence.

No. Never. My home is my safe haven ... my sanctuary. Yes, I work from my home but that does not change the fact that it is not a place for doing business with clients.

Evelyn Johnston It's not legal in my County to have people come to your home if you have a home business. Signage is also not allowed.

I have a home office and sometimes meet clients in my home but prefer to meet outside my office .

Only if it the best soluton.
In Florida agents home address (not the brokers) is published. Where we live is not a secret.
However, I try to meet in venues that establish the right authority. If my home had a business entrance and the space created the needed authority, I would not hesitate to meet there.

Rarely, unless i know them personally. In real estate work doesnt stop as it is. If you have the come to your home, there would be not getting away from work.

Evelyn - I don't want to work with anyone at my home. I will do like Sharon Altier, SFR, and either meet at a coffee shop, or my broker actually has an office I can use.
I have had past clients who have become very good friends, and have invited them to my home.
