I don't know. I saw a listing today that had 4 photos of the fireplace. They must love that fireplace. There was also one of the ceiling fan. Looked like a typical ceiling fan to me.

They do not want to put in the work and have no passion for the industry. Just get by for the paycheck.

I can only guess that they are either lazy or unfortunately don't know any better.

They are not good agents or have hired inferior staff and don't check up on them

No listings photos or poor photos is a pet peeve of mine. I don't know why agents can't take more time to get good pictures. It's so easy. We are in the digital age.

There are all types of agents and the quality job they do for their clients.   I tell clients unless it just listed, then no pictures = bad.  Pretty simple, I have yet to ever write an offer on one that was listed with no pictures.

Today I saw a listing that had pictures on it from 2012 (they were date stamped). How lazy can someone be that they couldn't bother to go and take updated photos?

I was just informed today that one of my new listings which has 30 photos uploaded, is showing only 1 photo on Realtor.ca.    It is showing 30 everywhere else so sometimes glitches happen.  They're looking into this for me and hopefully a solution will be found.

Again, I try to keep my head down and eyes on my own paper :)

I'm sure they did not get out of bed that morning and determined to do a lousy job.

In some cases an agent allows the seller freedom of choice and they may choose the 'no touch' model which means the owner provides the images and takes the calls and manages the house showing.

In other cases the compensation is so low they pull out the cell phone and capture the home in all of it's present glory.....and you really don't want to see what's on the floor.

In other cases the house is price so low that buyers relying on images are not the right buyer at all. Example, a home of equivalent size priced at $145,000 in a $400,000 community is a 'no-brainer.' Lack of images keeps the uninformed buyers from cluttering up the landscape.

What I would suggest is to research the number of transactions this agent does annually, THEN decide if they are doing it right or wrong.
