How's business?

I think how is the market is pretty much what I get.

How's the market.  It's just talk they really don't want to know.

For me the question have evolved from 'How's the market?" to "Do you watch HGTV?" immediately followed by, "Of course not! You live it."

I usually hear "Why?"

Hows the market is the usuall go to question.

Everybody likes to talk about real estate. However, I am not usually asked how I got started in the business.

usually it's "how's business"....

I get the "How's the market?" question very often.  Not so much on getting into the business.

Paul, I have to laugh because I relate to this. I get this all the time..at the grocery store parking lot, getting out of my Hummer people see my Logo Magnet..and here comes all sorts of questions, or yes..at the Dr.s Office....anywhere. It's alot to repeatedly answer to many times all in one day.

(And still, relationships are good - I am guiding them to do the right thing.)

Hmmm, I usually notice a slight eye rolling going on as they look down at me like a used cars salesperson.  I would love to tell them how much I make a Realtor but never do.

All the above. I got the same questions when a lawyer, "Got tough clients?"

How's the market is the first question.  If I am lucky enough to start up a conversation, inevitably "have you ever watched the million dollar listing show? WOW!  They make a ton of money!"

The question I always get is How's the market?  I just say the market is great are you ready to buyer or sale a home?

Answer: Market is great! wanna sell! We should talk.

Hi Paul -- How's the market is generally the first question.   Every agent should be prepared to answer succinctly.
