I'm a broker, but not a broker owner so I don't poach, but I have talked with other agents about joining the company I work with. I have had several companies try to poach me, though. There were some pretty blatant efforts. At one point I couldn't even walk my dog down Main Street without one owner yelling out his window and asking when I was going to join his company.
