they're entertaining and one can answer "freely" as opposed to biting one's tongue on someone's blog!!!

I have no answer to that, Bob. Maybe a little silliness in each of our days is good. But I don't prefer it over a good post ever.

It is called HUMOR ME!

"Silly"?  Some are, some are not.  I like the short and to the point Q & A.  The long drawn out comments are sometimes hard to take and need to consider writing their own blog on the topic instead.

Quick interaction - opportunity to engage a bit with peers. I consider it part of my warm up.

It has been my observation no one really want to learn anything new. The interest of most is doing what they already do, faster, cheaper, easier or better. Therefore, expanding one's brain to receive a new idea just hurts too much.

And, AR encourges mindless questions with those silly contests. One of them must instruct participants to post 10 questions, of any kind, in one session, in this forum. So we get questions like 'Coke? Pepsi?'

Finally, it takes too many clicks on the blogs to weed out the New Listings, and other irrelevant things that do not address boldly going where no one has gone before in the real estate business.  That is what I want to read about....NEW IDEAS!

So, here I am, resoibdubg to a 'silly question' this morning.

Because it is fun.

For me it's a time thing. I can jump in connect and jump out.

Points. Easy points. Why else? I do not see any other reasons for this.

Bob Crane Aside from the trivial questions, there are some good ones.

Short and sweet, but i do both. One thing that turns me off from the blog roll is serial posters who post blog after blog after blog and fill up 1 and even 2 or 3 pages, Dont they realize this doesnt work.

Because every once in a while I come across real substance in an abbreviated form. They're short and sweet Bob.

easy on the brain and time

It takes less time and a really meaningful, fact-filled blog post takes time to put together. Some of the questions are fun I have to admit.

That was funny Bob.  I guess because they are lighthearted quesitons and easy to answer.

I do not enjoy these silly questions over real blo posts. I simply answer the question because someone asked. That's it. 

Bob, when I open AR, the landing page is the Q & A.  Like walking through an office, someone stops me and says, "What do you think...?  As I browse through, some peek my curiosity and I read to see where they are going.  Others intrigue me like an empty water glass: "what is that doing here?"

As others have shared: some are fun, some challenging, but all in all, it is a great way to patrol the salad bar.  Sometimes I look up, and find I have no time left to check the blogs.  I could hang around AR like an old man whittling wood while sitting on a courthouse bench: a great past-time.

If I were chasing points, I would write more blogs, and comment on more; but I have more interest in learning than in editing; and have decided to write blogs when I have a clear compulsion and sense of purpose in doing so.  I have numerous topics fermenting, but have not been moved to review and edit.  So many other things are currently on my plate, and I desire not to serve leftovers. 

I prefer questions to the formatting nightmarish episodes of a blog post.

I prefer questions to illiminate the almost inevitable divulgence of My Humble Opinion (everybody has one) to which there is a large section of people on the planet who look for reasons to attack, to be offended, rude, argumentative and generally negative toward ALL THINGS different.

I prefer questions because I enjoy how 4 - 5 words can evoke responses that are thoughtful, insightful, joyful or egotistical.  Is the id, ego or superego in the room?  I enjoy observing people and their ability or inability to be objective.

They are quick, easy, not much thinking involved, and can be fun.

Good questions can produce thoughtful answers, but answers to questions like this one, "what does your perfect pizza look like?" really lower the bar on professional discourse.  Do agents really covet points so much so that they are willing to ask if "short hair pets are preferable to long hair pets?  It's, well, enough said...

Now Bob that is a silly questions....for one thing itis easier toanswer and you don't need 10 words for points.

Some of the questions are really pretty good, and I can pick the ones I want to answer or comment on. I do prefer blog posts, but I also check out what's going on in this section. I also like to see which members are being silly just to try to get points. LOL. 

Yes some are silly but so aresome of the blogs. I think it is a good way to get a lot of input are important issues!

It's an easy way to earn some points without having to do much, like write a post. And some questions are pretty helpful, as are the answers

Because they are short

Not all of the questions are silly, and for those that are, I may scroll on by depending upon my mood. 

Bob Crane ... I don't comment on "silly" questions typically.  But some questions serve a real purpose.  They are great opportunities to learn and they promote dialogue here on AR.  If they serve a purpose, I say whether a post or questions ... all's good!

The Q&A section I like so I can direct to members directly and get an answer on something I may be experiencing and don't have to blog about. Short, sweet and to the point. To me that's a good thing.
