Yes and it was a wonderful feeling to say I'm opening up my own doors.

Yes, it was my first brokerage when I first started in Real Estate, I did not do my research and the commission splits, training fee's everything was just outrageous. When I was doing good and wanted to expand they were against the team stuff so I was out. Best decision ever.

I did change brokers when the branch office in which I was located was closed. That change was not related to the quality of the company but to the fact that I did not care for the alternative office they recommended.

You bet twice than I became one. I've had several agents leave but most of the time it was a good thing. I've even had some return. they found out I'm not the D--K they thought I was.....

Good morning Robert. I have gotten fired, a number of times when I was in the real estate business, two times I recall that I was rehired. When I sold my company, we were just under 100 agents and 5 offices.

Robert - I guess if you say that you ended your relationship with a broker to go somewhere else, yes I did that. It was the best decision I ever made.

When I started out, I worked for a big name brokerage. They told us constantly that the name mattered and was essential to our success. It was total nonsense, of course.
I'd asked my clients if they cared what brokerage I was with and not one did. They said they hired me, not the brokerage.
I met with the broker. I brought the puppy I'd just adopted and we played with the puppy. Then, the broker asks me "What's up?" I said "I have to break up with [the company]." His mouth dropped open and he asked why and I told him.
He asked who I was going to work for and then made disparaging remarks about the new broker. He then advised me that the grass isn't always greener. I said "As my husband says, it's not always browner either." And I left.
