I like to joke about how some agents pursue the SEO long tail by saying I'm #1 for "Henderson real estate agent with a Sheltie." I do rank well for many Henderson neighborhoods, but still have work to do on the broader Henderson topics. That's going to get a lot of attention in the 2nd half of the year.

This was fun: For my California broker's license where my main company is based in Carmel-by-the-Sea: Google search "Carmel-by-the-Sea Realtor" and there I am on a short list by a map over which it says "local business results for realtor near Carmel-by-the-Sea". When Googling "Carmel-by-the-Sea real estate broker" I'm on an even shorter list (I'm not an agent so missed out on that list).

In Hawaii: I try not to compete with myself. You would have to know my name from California or through my listings here. The way to change that is to come up with a different LLC name. Which will come soon.

Many agents will pop up when searching but research is proving that buyers are searching areas and neighborhoods therefore if an agent is associated with those keywords and is consistent in posting about them then they will come up on the first few pages and be found. 

LOL, I hope no one finds me for that since I'm not a realtor.  I'm a flooring expert.  Anyway, my sites does very well for many long tail searches on FAQ's about flooring, especially sanding & refinishing and hardwood, hardwood for dogs, etc.  My site gets around 45,000 unique visitors per month.

I now also rank well for many short tail seaches, too.  Plus, people find us online via angie's list, google places, yelp and houzz.  I often get the comment, "you are everywhere."
