Chuck,
I think that any creature should not be in the picture. It is just fine to have dog pictures on your about page. It is like Chris and Dick Dovorany said, it is a question of being professional. You don't see an attorney with his/her dog. A

This is my take on it.........some people hate dogs, some people hate kids.......not very professional to have either in any pictures.

We love our pup but it's never entered our thinking to add her to our photos.

I am not a fan of having animals in your professional photo. I have two resuce shelties and I would feel strange having them in my photo.

I will eagerly watch the responses. Pets create emotion in people and instant trust. I am sure that is why they do it and becasuse they love their pets.

Chuck Willman When I see my Doctor and Attorney with dog(s) on their business cards, I still wouldn't do it. Let's keep it professional. By the way, we do have two dogs.
A Vet I recently put into a leased space has her photo with one of her dogs on her business card. I would think this is okay.

I prefer the ones where they are holding a dog as opposed to the ones where the agent is holding a phone up to their ear.

My AR profile picture is not the same as that which is used on my company's website, my localism blog, my business cards, etc. it is my blogging profile it is my "get to know me photo". I rotate my AR profile picture as I do my other social media profile pictures. The only difference is that my Facebook friends get a notice when I update my profile picture. With Activerain, they do not.
