1.  Just do it.  Don't perfect them, just write.

2.  Be patient and know that it is a marathon, not a sprint.

3.  Read/comment on others...it will help you be a better blogger and inspire more ideas to write about.

Blogging is not a substitute for those face to face contacts and phone calls that need to have a higher priority.

If his/her chosen forum is AR, I'd also suggest commenting on others' posts as this is a community of people who cares about its membership and wants people to succeed....well, mostly.

Consistency is key and the format of the presentation is good too -- enough white space, correct font size and including photos or some graphics.  

And then I would wish them luck....

Read and learn from others who are successful and regular posters on that blog site.

"Blogging" is not merely writing your thoughts or stating facts.  Format is the most important for SEO purposes.  Number of words, number of links, number of pictures, how to formulate those specific words etc.  Get some education before you just sit down and let your fingers type away.

Read what others are writing and then "just do it" as that old commercial said.

Write about what interest you.  Don't try and follow the crowd.  Be yourself but be respectful of others

Make a daily work plan and set aside time to blog.

Know your purpose.

I agree with what everybody is saying. Read the featured blogs to see how they are constructed, blog about things you know about, and just start doing it, the more you do it the easier it gets.

When I wrote my first blog, my photos were too large so it took too long for them to open. Someone on this platform was kind enough to praise the blog and give good advice.  Resize them before you post, use video and have fun!

I'd tell them to read as much as they can, comment and begin some kind of interaction.  And, I'd tell them to commit to it. 

That they will not see instant success, it has to be worked, and must be consistent.

Found this very helpful -- perhaps most of all, the "just do it".  I think getting it perfectly right stands in the way of getting it done.  

Learn SEO and use it every day.... don't miss a day of blogging....

Make sure you own the blog, do it on a wordpress site and not your brokers site! That way you get the SEO and if you change brokerage you still own the content. Also to keep going and not give up, it can take month to get traffic, but it will pay off in the long run, don't get discouraged along the way.

Think of something that would demonstrate that you have some experience on a subject that other people may be interested in reading . I make my blogs shirt because I think the attention span of your audience is looking for abreviated way to collect information .
