Too many years may allow the prospects to think you are too old for them.

The most important thing is how effective you are as a realtor.  I think people tend not to ask if they're confident in the realtor's abilities, though some people may ask out of curiosity.

At times. We take the view that we are no better than our next transaction, so to fall back on the years in the business is dicta depending on the client we are speaking, or writing .

Debbie Reynolds I usually tell potential clients, I've been doing this business for a long time. I believe there is a level of comfort with experienced agents. New agents who don't have the experience should partner with an agent who is experienced and capitalize their experience.

I recently saw a shirt that had a skeleton of a dog and underneath it said" in dog years I would be dead" so no I don't talk about my age but they can judge by my years of exoerience and the way I handle myself with clients.

I Do!  I have 31 years for full time work in Real Estate.  It show you have experience and have a clue how real estate works.

Yes I do.  I think that there will come a day when I say 50 years of experience that I will NOT use the number..

Personally I think clients appreciate knowing if someone they are working with has been working in their field for more than a day, so it is good to let them know that you have the experience and ability to take good care of them.

That said though, I know that from personal experience, when a Realtor tells me how many years they've been in the business within their first 2-3 sentences of speaking with them (and in many cases tells you their years of experience mutiple times in that conversation) then 95% of the time, that means they will be awful to work with.

As Debbie said earlier too, just because you may have had a license for 10, 20, 100 years, that doesn't necessarily mean that you are experienced in the business or are equipped to handle the needs of a particular transaction.  Every sale is unique with it's own set of challenges and needs.

Debbie - if someone reads my bio, they will know how long I've been in business, I don't "discuss" it much beyond that unless asked.  

Debbie, seldom is it one of the first things I do.  I believe Experience speaks on its on.  I do not walk up and say, "Hello, I am baldhheaded--it is obvious.  When asked, I do; and generally in printed matter I do.

Sometimes, I like to let my brand stand for more instead of just my experience.
