Not that I know of and I have never heard of the term. I also have never noticed anyone doing this so it must not have been a problem in Middle TN.

No and I haven't seen it taking place.

I don't think we have rules against this in our MLS. And, luckily, we don't have anyone doing this that I'm aware of.

Don't think we have a rule against it, but it would surely make a negative impression on me if I were to see it among listings on the hot sheet. I'd think it is an unimpressive tactic that would quickly lose any appeal.

Sounds like a great strategy to keep the information in front of MLS members.
There are other ways to achieve the same thing that would not require a price adjustment, but the result would be identical, the home frequently appearing on the hot list.
Bush League? I think not. Effective marketing is always identified when competitors start complaining.

Our rules state that any changes there must be a signed request by the seller.

Paul - Not sure if our MLS has rules against yo-yo pricing, but thankfully I have not noticed anyone doing this in our MLS. Hopefully it won't become an issue.
