Hi Paul - it depends.  Are we meeting at the office or at a property?  First time or subsequent meeting?   Are they habitually late(likely not someone who will be a good fit for me in the long term).

Short answer would be 15 minutes.  But it depends.

I wait about 15 minutes before I call and ask whether they got delayed or need directions. ;-)  If I can't reach them I may wait another few minutes before I will leave. I usually meet people at the office so I can do other things.

Paul S. Henderson I have the same policy. If they don't answer the courtesy call with a good excuse, 15 minutes is my limit for waiting.

If I don't know them well, I would do the same as you.  If I know them and have worked with them for a while, I might hang around for up to a 1/2 hour, but no longer.

Like you, Paul, I wait until they're around 5 minutes late before calling (and/or texting) them.  If I get no answer, I wait about 10 more minutes and try again.  If still no answer/reply, I call and/or text again saying that I'm sorry they missed our appointment and to please call to reschedule.  On rare occasions (and depending on the person), I may wait as long as 20-30 minutes but that is the max unless they've called to say they're only a few minutes from arriving.  In the meantime, I try to use my 'wait' time to do other things (calls, return emails, etc.).

10-15 minutes, and then I will wait at least 10 more minutes depending on the circumstances. There are parts of our island where some cell services don't have good coverage so people can't always call right away if they're delayed.

Typically, I give the client 10 minutes before I call and/or text them if they are running late to an appointment. I will generally wait up to 30 minutes if they are caught in traffic, etc... if it is further out in my territory.

I think that I would wait for the 15 minutes as well. Of course there are many disruptive situations that could occur, but I would expect a telephone call if they were not able to meet at the suggested time.

I call and text 5 minutes after the scheduled appointment.  Depending on the circumstance, I may wait or reschedule.  Poor weather conditions and traffic can play a role for those coming a long distance.

They called me to make the appointment. At that time I advised to call if they are unable to meet the ETA.

I call the agent the morning of the appointment to verify the still have a buyer and that they will be on time. At that time I advise I must be gone 30 minutes past appointment time.

When the call comes, they are invited to attend the next scheduled open house.

"When is the open house?" they ask.

"It is not scheduled yet."

Silence for 15 seconds.

It is at this moment the true weight of their disrespectful action is realized.

"Call again in a day or two and see what we can work out."

15 minutes is my limit but usually will also call and try to see if the prospect is coming. They usually don't answer so I leave a message and then move on and don't consider this a serious prospect. They can call me next.
