I'm accustomed to years of working at home, so distractions are not a problem.

I know many agents who don't even use their company cubicle at whatever franchise firm they work for.

Brick and mortar.  I like going into an office atmosphere and thrive there.  At home I get distracted

Home office, I am in the main office maybe once a month.  I spend most of my time on the phone and showing properties, when I need to meet a client at the office, meet them at the main brokerage office.  It is a solution that works for me.  Not all can work from home, takes dedication.

I've tried all of the above.  I can get so much more done from home because there is no drive time and some days no getting dressed up either.   :)   + My internet service is twice as fast at home.

I was home/mobile and about 3 years ago switched to a brokerage that was close enough I actually used the office and did some floor time. To my surprise the floor time produced some good business so I'm glad to have both. But at my previous brokerage it wasn't worth making the trip to the office except for special meetings and training.

Great question! I was just facing this dilemma with my current firm. I decided staying at home definitely suited me better. Staying at the office for long periods of time did not work for me. I get so into my work and at home I am able to take an occasional break, while the office is not so accommodating for that.

I prefer a professional office location where you can meet clients and associate with other real estate professionals. A home office is mandatory for most.

Home/mobile office with the up side being costs and tax write-offs for having a home office.  The down side is the lack of socialization found in an office setting.

I have a home office, but do not meet customers there.  As a mobile notary, I often meet with patients in hospitals and nursing homes, or meet signers at their home, workplace or Starbucks.

As a notary training instructor, I teach on site for businesses, or by teleconference or webinar.  I taught 2 notary classes in a prison, for the prison staff members.  Also taught a class in the office at a funeral home.

At this point, I am more inclined to a movile office. I think store fronts are largely unneccesary as clients spend increasing amounts of time online. I do think it's helpful to access a conference room where you can meet clients at times though.
